Code Of Honor is a 278 page, realistic fiction written by Alan Gratz which takes place in Arizona. In the beginning Kamran Smith is 17 year old, boy who is dealing with his brother turning on the USA military. As the conflict develops, Kamran faces the challenge of losing his friends because of his brother being a terrorist. In the rising action of the story, Kamran starts finding evidence that his brother might be innocent. In a pivotal moment, Kamran faces the greatest challenge when he discovers the full extent of his brother’s terrorist attack and racing against time to prevent another one. The falling action tells of the danger of the attack over and Kamrans brother is proven innocent. In the resolution, Kamrans life is set back to normal and his brother is back in the military.
I loved this book because it was suspenseful and I wanted to keep reading. In the story I knew his brother was innocent but I didn’t know yet. I really wanted to find out and always was excited when they found new evidence.
My favorite character was Kamran. He was easily my favorite character because I look up to him for keeping faith. Even when no one else had faith he did. He lost all is friends and still had faith.
My favorite quote from the book is “Sometimes doing the right thing means you have to do something that scares you.” I like that quote because it highlights the theme of the book. And is something you should always remember.
I checked every page and there are no pictures/scenes
